Sumit Anand
I am the Founder of Ecogenius Services, having 13 years of experience, with a diverse background in management, public administration, social development, retail banking, and entrepreneurship. I hold a Post Graduate degree in Entrepreneurship Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Post Graduate Diploma in Retail Banking from NIIT IFBI.
My professional journey includes impactful roles such as State Project Manager for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, where I led a team of 25 employees to monitor and evaluate social security pension schemes. As Technical Expert for the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), I developed and implemented the State Action Plan, liaising with government agencies and overseeing drug de-addiction centers.
I’ve also gained banking experience as an Officer at Axis Bank and contributed to Google India’s content moderation and quality control efforts, winning silver and bronze awards for excellence. Additionally, I served as a compère at All India Radio, Darbhanga, and contributed to national seminars and research journals.
Passionate about social welfare and public policy, I’m eager to leverage my skills to drive impactful, sustainable development and governance reforms.

With over 19 years of experience in biotechnology combined with a strong academic foundation in Social Work, I bring a unique blend of scientific expertise and community-oriented understanding. My career spans roles in biotechnology consulting, clinical settings, and operational management, where I have contributed to improving processes, supporting healthcare services, and engaging directly with people. This dual background—biotechnology proficiency and social work insight—enables me to work effectively at the intersection of science and society. I am passionate about applying scientific knowledge to real-world challenges, creating meaningful social impact, and supporting organizations that aim to improve community health, wellbeing, and access to services.
